Her father, Om Prakash Bharti, was an insurance agent, and her mother, Meeta Bharti, was a housewife. Divya had two siblings, a younger brother named Kunal Bharti and a younger sister named Poonam Bharti.

Divya Bharti's family lived in the suburb of Versova in Mumbai. She attended Maneckji Cooper School in Mumbai, but she dropped out of school after the 9th grade to pursue a career in acting. Divya was interested in acting from a young age and participated in school plays and dance competitions.
